18 Nov Gold at the 2024 Victorian Wine Show

Kings of Kangaroo Ground have been awarded a Gold Medal at the 2024 Victorian Wine Show for our 2022 Pedersen Cabernet Sauvignon.

This wine was awarded 95 points and was equal top Gold in it’s class at the show.

Class comments for 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon and older were “Some lovely diverse styles in both a warmer and cooler spectrum, sufficient extraction, balanced oak with acids in check were the rewarded wines, a few entries looking tired and lacking freshness”.

Comments from the judges on our wine were “Red fruits, leafy, juicy palate, bright cranberry, red currant, deep and powered, lifted dark concentrated fruits, nice varietal, balance, drive and purity”.

Our 2022 Pedersen Cabernet Sauvignon will be released during winter 2025. Watch out for this wine at winter Nillumbik Open Cellars in June 2025.

As a bit of icing on the cake, our 2022 Thirteen31 Pinot Noir was also top of class, being awarded a Silver Medal with 93 points for 2022 Pinot and older.
