We are please to announce our Spring 2022 release of new wines from Kings of Kangaroo Ground.

Our new release wines for 2022 are as follows:

2021 Hilda May Chardonnay (Yarra Valley)

A cool climate Chardonnay grown on our estate in the rich black volcanic soils of Kangaroo Ground on our south facing vineyard. An elegant wine with distinctive varietal aromatics of apple, melon and hints of blossom. The palate shows pear and white peach fruits with honeyed notes and a crisp finish. An easy drinking lightly oaked Chardonnay that will develop gracefully over the next few years.

2020 Thirteen31 Pinot Noir (Yarra Valley)

A cool climate Pinot Noir from our estate in the black volcanic soils of Kangaroo Ground. Our “Thirteen31” Pinot exhibits classic varietal characteristics from our south facing vineyard. An aromatic nose of cherry and raspberry with spicy notes. The palate has classic varietal red berry flavours with fine tannins and a lingering finish.

2021 KG Red (Heathcote)

A classic red blend of 75% Shiraz and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Coliban Glen vineyard in the prestigious Heathcote region of Victoria. An easy drinking full bodied red with aromas of dark red fruits, allspice and a hint of liquorice. The palate is fruit driven with dark red fruits, a warming core and firm tannins that will integrate over time.

These wines were officially released at Open Cellars of Nillumbik in October and are now available at Cellar Door. We taste a selection of our wines at Cellar Door every Saturday, if you drop in to visit and would like to taste a particular wine, just let us know and we will be happy to oblige.
