25 Jul Three Gold from Wine Showcase Magazine

Australian Wine Showcase Magazine have held their latest New Releases tasting and Kings of Kangaroo Ground were awarded three Gold medals for our wines.

These three wines were our 2020 releases which were all “soft releases” over last year due to the pandemic and the lack of any events to announce releases. So it’s nice to have some recognition of the ongoing high quality of our hand crafted wines.

Our wines were scored as follows:

2019 “Thirteen31” Pinot Noir (Yarra Valley) – 95 points

2018 “Avondale” Shiraz (Heathcote) – 94 points

2019 “Hilda May” Chardonnay (Yarra Valley) – 93 points

The judges commented on our 2019 Pinot Noir, “Lovely aromas of cranberry and dark cherry fruits. Soft supple palate showing lots of lovely ripe fruit. Nice long finish.”

Our Cellar Door is open for tasting and sales on Saturdays from 10am-3pm (COVID restrictions permitting) and sales only every Monday to Friday from 10am-1pm, 2pm-5pm (except for Public Holidays).
